RYAN M. GOTT | Partner


Ryan M. Gott joined the firm in 2003 and concentrates his practice in the areas of family law and probate litigation. Mr. Gott became a partner of Witmer, Karp, Warner & Ryan LLP in December 2013. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gott served for two years as a Law Clerk to the Justices of the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court, working on a variety of family law, equity and probate matters.

Mr. Gott is a graduate of California Lutheran University (B.A., cum laude, 1994) and received his law degree from Suffolk University Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2001). While attending Suffolk University Law School, Mr. Gott was a note editor for the Suffolk University Moot Court Journal of Trial and Appellate Advocacy. He also received the Jurisprudence Award for Fiduciary Relations.

Mr. Gott was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in January 2002. Mr. Gott has extensive experience with all aspects of domestic relations law, including divorce, modification and contempt cases for high net worth individuals facing complex family issues.

Mr. Gott regularly serves as a Guardian ad litem in probate matters before the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court. In 2010, 2011 and 2012, he was recognized as a Massachusetts Rising Star in Boston Magazine's Massachusetts Super Lawyers edition. Mr. Gott was a co-author of Fiduciary Litigation in the Probate Court, Chapter 2 - Complaint for Instructions, MCLE 2nd Edition, 2013. His professional affiliations include the Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Additionally, Mr. Gott is a member of the Massachusetts Family and Probate American Inn of Court, and was elected to the board of directors in 2014.

Mr. Gott served as the Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Sharon Cooperative School (2011-2013) and is a member of The Rotary Club of Sharon. Mr. Gott lives with his wife and two children in Sharon, MA
